Ever since John played marbles on the street with his Maori neighbours and friends he has had an interest in social equality and closing the gap. This continued through to high school where he was Student Body President of a predominantly Maori and Pacific Islander school. John is passionate about making a difference and ensuring everyone gets a fair go despite differences in background.
